Galeri Hadiprana is the longest working gallery in Jakarta, selling nice artwork in Indonesia. Born out of founder Hendra Hadiprana’s search for beauty in the complicated, damaged city of Jakarta after he returned residence from studying within the Netherlands, this gallery survived the financial turmoil of the 1960s to deliver artwork to the appreciation of the wider public. Having advanced through the a long time, the gallery is now housed in a large, flexible space with movable partitions – befitting of a contemporary art institute.
Pieces embrace a 2D map sewn along with recycled plastics and fabrics, stunning jewelry hand-crafted from reclaimed plastics alongside the Pacific Rim shores and playful sculptures created from a variety of upcycled supplies. The Pitt Meadows Art Gallery is proud to showcase the superb work of young artists and their exploration of a wide range of themes and artwork mediums. The Children & Youth Art Exhibition runs until July 21 and features paintings created by native kids and youth between the ages of four-18. Pitt Meadows Art Gallery is happy to welcome artwork pieces by legendary Vancouver Canucks Goalie Richard “The King” Brodeur.
